I absolutely adored the room layout, with a separate bedroom for the kids, and the bed was incredibly cozy, the Japanese decor added a nice touch, and the staff was beyond helpful.

Traditional hotel in a really quiet area not far from the main attractions in the area, Takayama Ninja House, and all important places of Takayama including the main station. A lot of great options for meal. Favourable and perfect location, not too far from a nostalgic post-war memorabilia museum.

The private parking was onsite, great service. The room I booked was nicely decorated and extremely pleasant with a separate bedroom as well as aircon...

The room at Takayama Ninja House was absolutely amazing! I loved the cozy feeling of sleeping on futon mattresses on the elevated tatami floor. It made me feel like I was truly experiencing Japanese culture. The balcony was an added bonus, providing a lovely place to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The air conditioning was also a lifesaver, especially since I have physical disabilities and am more sensitive to temperature changes. Plus, having free WiFi throughout the property was a huge plus!

I personally wasn't a fan of the bidets in the bathrooms. It's just not my thing, but I understand that others may find it convenient and enjoyable.

The place was fairly clean with a nice design. the staff were friendly and welcoming. -the location of the hotel was good, not very far from Takayama Jin'ya. -the city center was located at a short distance from the property.

This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The atmosphere was super intimate and cozy, with spacious rooms and incredibly comfortable beds. The staff were like ninjas themselves, friendly and helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants. Octavio, our host, was a true rockstar. He welcomed us with a drink and gave us an insider's guide to the area. He even drove us to the station on his day off! The house itself was a jaw-dropping old Japanese home, right in the heart of the historical area. With Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a VIP check-in/check-out, this place had everything we needed. And the best part? No pets or smoking on site. Can't recommend it enough!

I always return to my favorite place in Gifu. Staff helped with taxi tips on my first stay. Takayama Ninja House suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, TV room, VIP check-in/out. No pets, smoking. Returning for a relaxing city break. No regrets.

Convenient location near attractions, clean and comfortable accommodations, spacious rooms. Complimentary breakfast with toast, butter, jam, coffee, tea. Lovely common room and well-equipped, clean bathroom.

We had a fantastic stay at a guest house in Takayama. The family room was clean, comfortable, and great value for money. The owner, Octavio, was a delightful man who gave us helpful information and excellent dinner recommendations. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance to everything in the beautiful old town.

The only minor downside was the lack of toilet and shower facilities near the upstairs rooms. It wasn't a big issue for us, but it could be inconvenient if you need to use the bathroom during the night.
